Marble, slate, and hardwoods are heavy and breakable! When calculating shipping & handling rates I had 4 major goals:
1-package safety & handling
2-insurance & tracking
3-arrival in a timely fashion
4-cost to customer
I researched the major carriers: USPS, Fed-Ex, & UPS. I discovered that no ONE is best for all my needs. For example, flat rate USPS works best for the marble coasters but not for serving trays. Fed-Ex has better rates for some packages, but charges for boxes. So, my commitment to you, the customer, is that I will use the carrier that is most efficient for your particular order. And, I decided to structure rates dependent upon ordering amounts.
Shipping Rates:
-sale items, free shipping
-$25.00 to $30.00, S/H is $10
-$30.01 to $75.00, S/H is $12
-$75.01 to $140.00 S/H is $15
-$140.01 to $180.00, S/H is $18
-over $180, TBD on individual basis
All of these rates are for ground shipping, with USA arrivals of no more than 5 days. Your package will be insured, with a delivery confirmation. You will receive an e-mail with shipping information: when sent, estimated day of delivery, & carrier. If expedited shipping is necessary, please e-mail & I'll calculate the additional charge.
